PG SILESIA and Politechnika Śląska signed an agreement referring to establishing continuous cooperation

On 23rd of February, in headquarters of PG SILESIA, the Agreement between PG SILESIA and Politechnika Śląska was signed. Agreement refers to establishing continuous cooperation in areas of research, education and personnel. The Agreement was signed by: Rector of Politechnika Śląska, prof. Andrzej Karbownik, Chairman of the Board, General Director of PG SILESIA, Jiří Paštika and Executive Director of Transformation, Aleš Dobeš. During the meeting there were also present: prof. Vojtech Dirner and Deputy of Bielsko-Biała Prefect, Grzegorz Szetyński.

Within concluded agreement Parties shall cooperate in following areas: education of PG SILESIA’s employees at universities studies, PhD studies, post-graduated studies, agreeing on topics of research and MA works, presenting and promotion of achievements, and also organizing regular trainings and specialized courses. Important aspect of concluded Agreement is cooperation in hiring Politechnika Śląska’s graduates, organizing trainings for students and promotion, among the students, current staffing needs of PG SILESIA. Additionally Parties expressed their willingness to take joint actions in order to obtain funding (including EU funds), which enable effective and partner cooperation.

Cooperation with Politechnika Śląska is very important for us. Except from usual cooperation we also want to exchange experiences in area of knowledge management, with special focusing on competence development. Taking into consideration fact that the mine is special kind of incubator of new technologies, we want to undertake joint research actions, which undoubtedly result with tangible benefits both for PG SILESIA and Politechnika Śląska. – said Aleš Dobeš, supervising the implementation of Agreement from PG SILESIA.

Rector of Politechnika Śląska, Prof. Andrzej Karbownik added that cooperation with PG SILESIA is good opportunity to use the knowledge and experience their scientists in industry.
