Mining Services and Engineering (MSE), sister company of PG SILESIA, has acquired “Silesia” Heating Plant

Czechowice – Dziedzice, 7th of May 2014

Mining Services and Engineering (MSE), sister company of PG SILESIA, has acquired “Silesia” Heating Plant.

Relevant agreement was signed by Michal Heřman, Chairman of the Board of PG SILESIA and Agnieszka Serek, Vice Chairman of  Nadwiślańska Spółka Energetyczna Sp. Z o.o.  on 29th of April 2014. Heating Plant has been separated from NSE structures.

On the same day MSE also gained concession,  issued by Energy Regulatory Office,  for  generation, transmission and distribution of energy.

„Silesia” Heating Plant generates and supplies heat to PG SILESIA but also supplies it to other external consumers in Czechowice-Dziedzice. Moreover, Heating Plant deals with water treatment, mostly for mine’s needs, but also with wastewater discharge – including urban wastewater. Heating Plant’s facilities are located within PG SILESIA’s area.

Taking over NSE’s existing employees was a part of the transaction.

Main reason for taking over the Heating Plant was to assure energy source for PG SILESIA. We wanted to find such source within the EPH group – explained Michal Heřman, who is also Chairman of the Board in MSE.

It is planned to conduct modernization process of the boiler room in the nearest future.  The boiler room is equipped with 2 steam boilers and a water boiler.
