PG SILESIA CONTINUES SIGNIFICANTLY INVESTING
PG SILESIA invests PLN 100 mln for delivery of longwall set, delivery of shearer and modernization of Treatment Plant.
The contract, subject of which is modernization of Treatment Plant, has been signed with Carbo-Eco Sp. z o. o. The contract covers preparing design work and its implementation by the mid of the year 2018. After that PG SILESIA will be able to enrich excavated coal in the complete granulation scale and in consequence will increase the production of fine coal.
The next very important investment is purchasing the third longwall set. It will be delivered by FAMUR by 15th of April 2018. The shearer will be produced by EICKHOFF POLONIA Ltd. Sp. z o.o. and will be delivered to PG SILESIA by March 2018.
From the very beginning PG SILESIA is focused on investing into the state-of-art equipment so as to have the influence on employees’ development, efficiency of their work and safety. It is worth noting that in the equipment PG SILESIA buys, some technological solutions are used for the first time in Polish hard coal mining. Technologically advanced machines, innovations and appropriate knowledge of the employees are the best guarantee of company’s development. This in turn, is connected with increasing the production and efficiency.
I am very happy with the fact that we have signed the contracts for delivery of another so modern equipment. We want our miners to have an access to the latest technological solutions, so their work become more and more efficient, but primarily – safe. The LW complexes delivered to us in previous years have performed very well in the difficult and variable mining conditions of PG SILESIA. That is why I am convinced that the new equipment will meet our expectations as well. I would like to also underline that our goal is constant development, so we invest not only in underground equipment but also in the surface. Having that in mind we made a decision on implementation the next stage of Treatment Plant modernization. Thanks to this investment we will be able to improve our commercial offer and to increase the production of high calorific value coal – said Michal Heřman, CEO and Chairman of the Board of PG SILESIA.
