THE FINAL OF THE COMPETITION ‘I WORK SAFELY 2016’
On 25th of November in PG SILESIA there was organized a final of the competition „I work safely 2016”. After the close contest, first place was achieved by Tomasz Rydzoń. An employee of Geological Surveying Department, Zenon Pitlok has been ranked on second place and Jacek Kramarczyk has placed himself on third place.
It has already become a tradition that a few days before Barbórka in Polish coal mines there are organized competitions 'I work Safely'. The main goal of this project is promoting the knowledge about safety. This year in PG SILESIA 32 employees signed up to the elimination, 28 of whom qualified to the semi-finals. The final of the competition took place on 25th of November.
The formula of the competition every year is unchanged – in the final round participants have to deal with the questions of multiple choice, pre-prepared by employees of Safety Department. Despite the fact that this year the level of questions was very high, the participants coped with them very well. Prizes and diplomas were handed in to the contestants by Zbyšek Folwarczny, Chief Mining Operations at PG SILESIA. Let us recall that by winning the first place there was a prize in the amount of 5 000 PLN, second place - 4 000 PLN, and a third place 3 000 PLN while the participants form places IV-X receive1 000 PLN each.
The promotion of work safety is a very important issue. Compliance with safety rules is the basis for everyday functioning in every workplace - we must not forget about this. Therefore, I support contests and other initiatives promoting safety. The fact that so many employees want to take part in it is even more satisfying. We hope that all participants will now promote these principles in their brigades – said Michal Heřman, CEO of PG SILESIA.
